Duties and responsibilities of the Directorate of Press and Public Relations as allocated to its units

1. Unit Head of Press and Public Relations

Responsible for the management of the Directorate and coordination of its services.

1.1 Press Services

1.1.1 Press releases

Creating press releases with photos and videos to publish on the institutional website, news bulletin (AGÜ News), and social media accounts and to distribute to the local and national media outlets, in accordance with the mission and vision of the University.

1.1.2 Tracking written and visual media

Tracking and archiving news about the University published by national and local media outlets on a daily basis. Sharing the news with internal stakeholders whenever necessary.

1.1.3 Preparing promotional material

Preparation of printed and digital materials such as catalogs, brochures, and promotional products to promote the University.

1.1.4 Designing graphics

Designing printed and digital works for the University such as posters, brochures, pamphlets, billboards, invitations, and social media contents. Carrying out and supervising institutional identity activities.

1.1.5 Press relations

Establishing and coordinating sustainable and effective communication with local and national media outlets. Preparing and distributing press announcements and bulletins, monitoring press reflections, organizing press meetings, and providing guidance to press members.

1.2 Public Relations Services

1.2.1 Promotional activities

Planning and conducting all kinds of public relations and promotional activities of the University; organizing, monitoring, and ensuring participation in the promotional activities (in collaboration with the Coordination Office for Communication with Prospective Students); collecting and updating information on the University's activities and events; providing guidance to visitors and student groups coming to the University.

1.2.2 Events and organization activities

Providing consultancy services on public relations and protocol to the Rectorate and academic units for official ceremonies and events such as conferences, panels, seminars, meetings, exhibitions, cocktails, etc.

1.2.3 Announcements and Advertisements

Coordinating the distribution of printed materials. Keeping the notice boards and billboards inside and outside the University up-to-date. Sending information/promotional materials outside the University. Additionally, sending bulk e-mails for internal and external announcements.

1.3 Photography and Video Production Services

1.3.1 Video Production

Producing videos introducing the University, shooting videos of events whenever necessary, doing post-production of the videos for publication on various channels, and publishing and archiving videos.

1.3.2 Photography

Photo shooting and archiving for promotional printed materials, such as magazines, brochures, booklets, and digital media.

1.4 Executive Secretariat

1.4.1 Executive Secretary

Handling all types of correspondence, conducting internal and external communication, and following up on official correspondence. Checking the Directorate's e-mail accounts.

1.5 Information Requests

Replying to internal and external complaints, suggestions, and information requests within the framework of CIMER (Presidential Communication Center) and the Right to Information Act, negotiating with the relevant offices, within the legal period, fast, and correctly.

1.6 Protocol

d.     Accompanying the Rectorate in visits outside the institution and checking the properness of the protocols followed therein.
